A new model for representing athletes
Written by admin, August 31, 2016
There are times as a professional sportsman or woman where prioritising becomes very important. As much as we all want to be the very best, representing our national team and winning tough encounters, we also need to be cognisant of other factors affecting our future.
One such factor is education. So often we are faced with the dilemma of focussing on the upcoming weekend’s game that we thrust aside any thoughts about the test we have the following Monday. And yes, in the short term the game is certainly more important but a balance needs to be struck between the two.
And balance isn’t always easy to find on your own. There are the odd few people from all walks of life who are able to do it but often it takes years to find your rhythm. As a professional sportsperson, this rhythm needs to be fast-tracked or else there is a chance you will get left behind.
We are here to help with representing athletes. The Sports Exchange will be able to offer advice on all facets of your livelihood, from education right through to post-retirement career transitioning. Get in touch and see how we can help.
